Dealer Highlight- Going out West to find the best.

We have many Dealers in all the regions we serve. These dealers are a large part of the American Steel Carport community and for that we are very appreciative. We want to highlight some of our dealers in hopes of spreading knowledge to future members of the American Steel Carport community.
The Dealers are an intricate part of what we do, a Dealer is like an extension of the company, they work with us to build American Steel as well as their own companies.

In this edition we will look at Johnny Brown from A-1 Portables.

In West Abilene, where 277, 83 and North 10th street cross is A-1 Portables and most days you will find Johnny there to assist you. He’ll be waiting to answer any questions with enthusiasm, he has been a Dealer since 2012 and the reason he is so successful (#1 in sales 4 years in a row) is because he practices what he preaches, when we asked him what tips he has for future Dealers he responded “Know your product, know your competition and respect your competition while being confident in your product”
He mentioned that when both parties are satisfied and happy with the sale is what satisfies him the most, his promise to represent you after the sale is a big reason why a customer should choose him allowing him to take the headache if you have an issue.

Johnny and I also talked about his great experience at Our Annual Dealers Summit in May with him saying that gaining knowledge and being able to spread some knowledge as well was a highlight.

Our one for the road question was what artist he would want to see live and he reluctantly answered but finally settled with Aaron Watson because he is a friend, I got a laugh out of that and I encourage anyone in the area to go by and see if Johnny can help you.

Single, Double, or Triple

The first thing you need to decide when buying a metal carport is how the carport will be used. Consider how much space you’ll need to properly protect your belongings from all the different weather conditions the world can throw your way. What is a Lean-to?

The full coverage is great for keeping your tools and other things safe as well. Both carports and garages come with benefits as well as disadvantages, and in the end the decision is all yours!

    Carports

A carport is a fully-open or semi-covered steel structure that attaches to your home or stands freely anywhere on your property. The number one reason to choose a carport instead of a garage is that it’s the more affordable way to protect your vehicles. This barn can be used for many purposes. The most common one, of course, is as a barn, keeping livestock safe from the rain and intense heat. On the other hand, their is customers who just love the design and prefer to use it as a garage for their vehicles. This exact Ag Barn includes all of the following; The main unit is a 12’W x 36’L x 12’H , with two horizontal ends, and a 10×8 Frame out. Along the sides it has two lean to’s connected with the measurements of 12’W x 36’L x 11/9’H. On both lean to’s the legs are 11’ high on one side coming down to 9’, giving you a wide space to store your cars or any storage equipment. With both outside walls closed giving you a fully enclosed secured building. You also have two 10×8 Frame outs, window frame outs, and all the extra Hat channels supporting the unit to be tall and firm.
