This metal garage gives you all the protection you need, from the sun to the rain. This amazing 30’ wide unit by 41’ long and 12’ high garage has plenty of space for all your needs. With our most popular and recommended A Frame Vertical Roof, horizontal siding but going vertical is always something you could choose. With the option of having your garage doors installed on the side of the building, we simply install headers. On this unit, 2 (two) 10×10 roll up doors are placed on the side. 1 (one) 9×7 roll up door on the end, 1 (one) 36×80 walk-in door, and 1 (one) 30×30 window. Also, concrete anchors are installed giving you our 90 MPH wind warranty with L-brackets!

 

 

What are headers and when are they necessary?

Headers are only used and required when doors are installed on the side of the unit. If you want garage doors placed on the length side of the unit instead of the gable end, we install headers for you. Headers are also used when you want an open building all around without any post getting in your way or when its being installed against something and need space openings, headers are there to save you.

 

 

 

What are L-brackets and why are they used?

The last thing you want is spending a good amount of money pouring your foundation and having the anchors break the edge of the concrete. L-Brackets are attached to the rail of the building giving us space to anchor down your unit without breaking any of the concrete!

 

 

 

Why is the vertical roof most popular and most recommended?

Going vertical on the roof gives you many advantages. From simply giving your building a more original look, vertical roofing will give you a better snow load capacity. The vertical roof allows natural elements like snow, water, dirt, leaves, and dust to slide off easily without the need for constant maintenance.

 

 

 

What are my options for colors and can choose more than one?

With plenty of color options (Black, Evergreen, Quaker Gray, Clay, Barn Red, Slate Blue, Pebble Beige, Earth Brown, Burgundy, Pewter Gray, Rawhide, White), you can go one color on the roof and another on the siding. We also offer a popular option called “Wainscoating”. Wainscoating will give you the last 3’ of your building a different color all around!

Is There a Limit on the Length of a Metal Building?

The answer is NO! At American Carports, we do not put limitations on the length of our metal buildings. If you ever need a building longer than our flyers advertise, don’t let that discourage you from making a purchase. You’d be surprised how many people call us asking if they can go longer than 51’—and our answer is always yes!

 

Although the most common request on our buildings is 60’ long, there have been cases where customers have big projects in mind that can be as long as a 100’! And since we’re talking about long metal buildings, why don’t you take a look at this 24’W x 61’L x 10’H custom metal building:

 

 

This custom metal building has an insulated roof (which is totally optional), two (2) 10’ x 8’ roll-up doors, four (4) windows on the side of the building, and a walk-in door.

 

Remember that we can customize any metal building according to your needs and requirements. We can also add insulation to your unit—but remember that the panels must run vertically in order for us to do so.

We urge you to consider purchasing our anchors. When you purchase all the anchors needed to secure your building, you get a warranty covering dislocation from wind of up to 90-mph! You don’t have to purchase our anchors and get this warranty, but consider the risks.

Want to have real garage doors?

 

At American Carports, we don’t only offer roll-up doors. We also have overhead doors to give you a residential look and quality. Our garages doors come in a standard design, meaning they don’t have windows or insulation,  but you can upgrade overhead doors with glass windows, and if the unit will be fully insulated, you can insulate the door too! Our overhead doors are also compatible with garage openers.

What are the advantages of a fully vertical garage?

 

One of the main advantages is low maintenance. Because the panels run vertically, they’re also more strongly recommended for northern areas, especially places with heavy snowfall.

 

How do I have my building certified for the snow loads in my area?

 

Our buildings are already certified for 30 psf. But if your area has heavy snow loads, we can certify our buildings to withstand those too. On top of that, vertical siding WILL NOT let snow accumulate on the roof or cause it to collapse.

 

We’re almost into summer, and the elevated temperatures will make it a good idea to acquire a metal garage to protect your vehicle from the blazing sun. Keep your car in the shade to prevent the paint from fading and cracking.

Colusa Farm Show

It’s a Friday morning in Colusa, California and the American Carports, Inc. team was off to a great start. We had officially wrapped up a successful Colusa Farm Show exhibition. The week had been nothing short of interesting as people from all over gathered around our booth – we had our hands full to say the least. However, the experience was absolutely worth it. We had the opportunity to network and interact with hardworking agriculturalists who love what they do. These are the type of passionate people we take pride in serving. This is what we are about. By the end of the last day, our giveaway entry box was filled with little white papers ready to be chosen. Everyone, including our team, was anxious to see who the winner of the free metal unit and Yeti cooler would be.

 

By 10:30 a.m. we were ready to go. Onesimo, the shop manager, opened the decorated box, as Daniela, our customer service associate, recited the rules. 10 entries were to be picked, the winner being the tenth one. Daniela swiveled 400 entries before Freddy Sanchez, our sales representative, chose the winner. One by one Daniela read the names until the lucky one was chosen. Onesimo did one last mix (talk about suspense) until finally… Chris Acevedo from Princeton, California was selected!

 

Within two hours our lucky winner stopped by our shop to pick up his free Yeti cooler with beverages included, American Carports gear, and an order form for his free 18x21x7 14 gauge standard carport. We couldn’t be any happier for Chris as he informed us his free metal carport is going to protect his wife’s brand-new car.

 

Chris mentioned, “I didn’t think I was going to win … I just did it … I never win … thank you guys!” This was certainly the perfect timing for him and his family. When asked how he felt about winning for the first time he stated, “I feel good, thank you, I’m happy.”

Get Something that can do Both!

We’re already in February, and time is definitely going fast. Next thing you know, we’ll be hitting Spring Break and might not even notice the time passing! So why wait for the summer to get your metal barn, when you can place your order now and have your building ready by then?

 

Agricultural barns are becoming the thing this year, but it might be a surprise to learn that this kind of metal barn can be used for either farm purposes or as a garage/storage area. Aside from the traditional barn use, there are customers who really like the design and prefer to use this barn as a garage. The fact that this metal unit comes in three sections gives them the option to choose if they want to enclose the lean-tos (wings) or even the center unit.

 

This is a perfect example of an ag barn used as a garage:

This customer decided not to enclose the center unit, instead parking their vehicles and enclosing the lean-tos to store their belongings. The design might be simple, but it’s strong enough to last for many years.
