Lean-tos are very handy when it comes to additions. They don’t just offer protection—they can also serve as extra space or a small carport for your vehicle! Most of our customers prefer a 3-foot or larger drop on their lean-tos, but remember that it’s your choice how to enhance your metal building!

 

 

Types of Lean-Tos:

 

We offer two different styles when it comes to lean-tos. The first one is the regular drop lean-to. As explained earlier, this lean-to has a gap from the original height, coming down to whichever height you prefer.

 

The second style is a continuous lean-to, which means that there’s no gap in between the first height from the second one. You can see the sample of a continuous lean-to below:

 

 

What Makes American Carports Different?

 

Unlike other companies, we provide the right number of trusses in order to protect our metal buildings from the environment. However, we also recommend that you acquire our concrete, mobile home, or asphalt anchors in order to avoid disastrous situations. We all know that custom metal buildings look great and get tons of attention due to the design and how well put together they are. However, don’t believe that your building has to be expensive in order for you to get engineer-certified customization. One of our simple storage buildings is still engineer-certified. NOTE: Adding roll-up doors on the side of the building can save you some money, since it’s cheaper to grow in length than in width. When the metal building overpasses 30’ in length, we strongly recommend opting for a vertical roof; this will help you avoid any leaks in the future.

Is There a Limit on the Length of a Metal Building?

The answer is NO! At American Carports, we do not put limitations on the length of our metal buildings. If you ever need a building longer than our flyers advertise, don’t let that discourage you from making a purchase. You’d be surprised how many people call us asking if they can go longer than 51’—and our answer is always yes!

 

Although the most common request on our buildings is 60’ long, there have been cases where customers have big projects in mind that can be as long as a 100’! And since we’re talking about long metal buildings, why don’t you take a look at this 24’W x 61’L x 10’H custom metal building:

 

 

This custom metal building has an insulated roof (which is totally optional), two (2) 10’ x 8’ roll-up doors, four (4) windows on the side of the building, and a walk-in door.

 

Remember that we can customize any metal building according to your needs and requirements. We can also add insulation to your unit—but remember that the panels must run vertically in order for us to do so.
