The Colusa Farm Show gathers farm equipment displays, materials, services, and vendors from all around the area in a single place for you. Recognized as the “Granddaddy of Farm Shows,” you definitely need to check it out. And while you’re there, come and say hi to your favorite steel manufacturer, American Carports! We’ll be joining the Colusa Farm Show on their 54th Annual Show. Find the main entrance and don’t forget to fill your ticket for a chance to win a prize!

 

2018 Colusa County Fair Parade

Summer break in California is nothing short of amusing. This weekend, we joined the fun at the Colusa County Fair Parade. We serve most of the state but engaging with our local community is an important value we strive for. So, for the last couple of years we’ve participated at the annual parade. Onesimo, the manager, led the team to yet another successful event. The float design this year was inspired by our agricultural building product line. Who would have ever guessed to see a floating ag barn?! What a creative way to protect yourselves from the summer heat! To cool off the crowd, Daniela, our customer service representative and the team decided to amp up the fun. They filled three barrels of water balloons and had water guns on deck to soak up the Colusa community. No one on that float was dry by the end of the parade. The kids weren’t the only ones who loved it! Iriana, our new team member, experienced the parade for the first time and expressed that she really enjoyed handing items out to people and getting them wet because it felt like she was reliving her childhood again. To top it off, the Colusa community scored free water bottles, caps, frisbees, loads of candy, and key chains on behalf of American Carports. If you saw us there, make sure to stop by our shop and say hello once again! Thank you so much to everyone who engaged with us. It’s an honor to be a part of the Colusa family. Colusa Farm Show

It’s a Friday morning in Colusa, California and the American Carports, Inc. team was off to a great start. We had officially wrapped up a successful Colusa Farm Show exhibition. The week had been nothing short of interesting as people from all over gathered around our booth – we had our hands full to say the least. However, the experience was absolutely worth it. We had the opportunity to network and interact with hardworking agriculturalists who love what they do. These are the type of passionate people we take pride in serving. This is what we are about. By the end of the last day, our giveaway entry box was filled with little white papers ready to be chosen. Everyone, including our team, was anxious to see who the winner of the free metal unit and Yeti cooler would be.

 

By 10:30 a.m. we were ready to go. Onesimo, the shop manager, opened the decorated box, as Daniela, our customer service associate, recited the rules. 10 entries were to be picked, the winner being the tenth one. Daniela swiveled 400 entries before Freddy Sanchez, our sales representative, chose the winner. One by one Daniela read the names until the lucky one was chosen. Onesimo did one last mix (talk about suspense) until finally… Chris Acevedo from Princeton, California was selected!

 

Within two hours our lucky winner stopped by our shop to pick up his free Yeti cooler with beverages included, American Carports gear, and an order form for his free 18x21x7 14 gauge standard carport. We couldn’t be any happier for Chris as he informed us his free metal carport is going to protect his wife’s brand-new car.

 

Chris mentioned, “I didn’t think I was going to win … I just did it … I never win … thank you guys!” This was certainly the perfect timing for him and his family. When asked how he felt about winning for the first time he stated, “I feel good, thank you, I’m happy.”
