If it’s Popular, It’s Doing Something Right

We’re already 3 months into the new year, and so far, workshops have been at the top of our list of the most requested metal structures. Now, you might be wondering why? Well, our metal buildings are engineer-certified, built to last, and most importantly, reliable. Not too long ago, we’ve seen inclement weather affect most areas of the North. As a result, Mother Nature can hit us with anything at any time. So, why not be ready with a sturdy metal structure for the rest of the year?

Why is it that most customers prefer our buildings? We have plenty of reasons, but here are the main important ones that you should consider:

  • 1-year workmanship warranty
  • 20-year warranty for rust-through of framing on our 12-gauge units
  • An engineer-certified structure
  • Delivery and installation INCLUDED in the price
  • All the recommended bracing INCLUDED in the price

Let us introduce you to this 30’W x 51’L x 12’H metal workshop:

  • 12-Gauge Galvanized Tubing
  • A-Frame Vertical Roof
  • (2) 10’x10′ Roll-Up Doors

Openings Coming at you Sideways

American Carports is number one in the carport industry. Our 20 years in the field can speak for themselves, and you can see our expertise by simply looking at the many different steel structures that we’ve provided for our customers throughout the years. What sets us apart with that we make your needs our priority and make your ideas a reality with our metal buildings.

Most customers who live up north prefer to add additional trusses to reinforce their metal buildings against the snow or very strong winds. We can definitely do that, to secure your investment and make your metal structure last for many years, resisting the natural elements.

Then people who have more moderate weather and don’t have to worry about severe snow storms usually like to remove the trusses for more openings.

Here’s an example of removing trusses for openings instead:

This 22’W x 51’L x 12’H comes fully equipped with (8) 10’x9’ frame outs with 45° cuts , and (2) 18’ x 13’ openings with 45° cuts (front and back ends).

Our goal is to exceed your expectations and make your ideas become reality. The best part about our metal buildings is that they’re all engineer-certified, the installation and delivery are INCLUDED in the price, and we work with the best local installers to provide excellent service. Short Blog: Some Easy Maintenance Ideas

We are all aware of the superiority of steel over wood structures, and this includes ease of maintenance. However, there are still some easy and quick things you can do to keep your steel structure in the best shape.

  • The first thing we recommend is to keep a maintenance log to stay on top of all the maintenance you’ve done and when.
  • The easiest place to start is with a basic wash, especially when the weather conditions change. Whether its leaves being blown around or dirt from nearby country roads, a quick power wash will return your American Carports’ structure to like-new.
  • Overhead doors also need attention, so remember to wash them too. Using a light degreaser can help cut through any dirt that has accumulated.
  • Dusting the roof with a soft bristle broom to remove debris is recommended. Please be sure to take every safety precaution to not put anyone in danger while doing so.
  • Periodically check that all screws are tightened and have not come loose. Using a lubricant product on all moving parts, doors and windows are highly recommended to maintain the like-new look and function.

We hope these tips are helpful and will assist you in enjoying your American Carports metal building for years to come.

Endless Ways to Customize Your Metal Building

Whether you’re looking for a simple carport/garage, a warehouse, or a completely custom metal building, American Carports will make the metal structure of your dreams come true! With more than 20 years of service in the carport industry, we know exactly how to give our customers a pleasant experience.

Any side of your carport can be customized. Whether you want some extra space between the legs, to make it taller than 12’, or an additional lean-to, we cover it all!

Headers:

One of the most common customizations is our headers. Headers can increase the spacing in between the legs and function as actual openings. Some of our customers who opt to enclose their metal buildings prefer to have openings instead of actual garage doors.

13’ or taller:

Our standard, triple wide, and widespan flyers normally only go up to 12’ tall, but that doesn’t mean we’ll limit ourselves. In fact, the tallest we can go is 20’. We might not build skyscrapers, but we can make your structure tall enough to hold your trailers or any toys you want to protect.

Lean-Tos or Connections:

When people hear the word “lean-to,” they automatically picture an agricultural barn with lean-tos on each side, which are also called wings. Lean-tos can be added to most of our buildings as additional storage space or as carports for parking your vehicles.

What about if you have two buildings and you just want to connect them? American  Carports can connect your buildings as well!

Different Pitches:

Yes, we offer different angles or pitches for our metal buildings! All of our buildings come with a 3/12 roof pitch, but we can go as low as 2/12 or as high as 8/12 (depending on the unit).

If you are considering making any of these customizations, don’t be afraid to let us know. We will work with you until we can make the building you’re looking for. Aside from that, don’t forget that American Carports makes sure that your building is certified by the best engineers. And don’t forget to ask for our financing options!
